Overworked?

Simplify your schedule with a quick makeover for a better you. Take time for yourself by savouring these 10 simple things. Then put a smile on your face before you begin.

Treat yourself. What do you enjoy most? Whether it may be a pair of shoes, a book or a trip to the SPA, treat yourself occasionally to something special. Whatever it may be, it will make you feel good about yourself.

Meditate and Reflect. It allows you to put your thoughts together and teaches your body to reduce stress. Choose a quiet area, close your eyes, live the moment, relax and breathe. Enjoy the company of your own self, the one and only you.

Keep fit. There is little or no need for extensive exercise equipment or complex techniques. In the comfort of your own home, exercise in front of the TV to keep you company or listen to some music and do some sit-ups.

Create a diary. Determine what makes you happy and after each month, read through what you’ve written.

Take vitamins. Giving you energy and vitality, you have the option to take supplements or have them natural, such as freshly squeezed fruit juice.

Eat right. Knowing how to achieve this can be tricky, but by setting a realistic goal, you can’t go wrong. Having a portion of 5-a-day fruit and vegetable together with a balanced diet will surely give your skin a natural glow.

Be in touch with an old friend, re-connect. When an old friend recently rang me after losing touch for years, it has absolutely made such a huge difference! Surprises like this usually make people happy.

Sort out your clutter. It’s a fantastic start on organising other areas of your life by getting rid of the things that you don’t really need before replacing them with the things that you need.

Get a rubdown. Be flexible; don’t let tension get to you. We all deserve more than that!

Cook a nice meal for yourself or for someone special. The best meals made are always at home when you know exactly what you’ve put in your cooking. You can eat as much and not feel too guilty about it. Draw your conclusions.
